Toshia McKeon, MSN, CPNP-PC
Neurology Pediatric Practitioner 

Toshia graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1999 with her Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing.  She worked at the Children’s Hospital of Austin, treating acute and chronic pediatric patients.  She cross-trained in the PICU and was a charge nurse.

She completed her Master of Science in Nursing, graduating with honors from the UT Austin pediatric nurse practitioner program in 2006.  She was one of the first nurse practitioners in a subspecialty in the Austin area, joining the pediatric neurology physicians after graduation.  She worked in child neurology until August 2024.  She works at Liberty Hill/Whitestone Pediatrics, seeing pediatric patients with neurological and mental health disorders.

Toshia also is clinical faculty for the University of Texas at Arlington in the BSN-MSN program.  She precepts graduate students for various universities (UT Austin, UTA, Duke, and UTSA).    Toshia is an integral part of global health work in Kenya, specifically Maai Mahiu, which treats patients with neurological disorders. She is on the board of Ubuntu, a non-profit organization treating primarily pediatric patients.  She travels to Kenya annually to train local providers and treat patients with neurological disorders.

Toshia and her husband live in Leander with their two boxers, Ragnar and Juniper.  They have twin boys currently attending Texas A&M University.  She and her family love traveling, hiking, cooking, going to the movies, and spending time together.
